Stayin’ Alive: Writing My Memoir
I have spent most of my adult life on dialysis. Two kidney transplants, years of appointments, and now home hemodialysis in my own space, on my own schedule.
For a long time I told the funny parts and skipped the hard ones. Writing this book meant telling both, because the humor only makes sense next to the heartbreak it grew out of.
Stayin’ Alive: A Memoir of Hope, Humor and Home Hemodialysis is about the machine in my living room, the people who showed up, and the stubborn joy that kept me making things anyway.
It is coming soon. If you have ever been handed a life you did not plan for, I wrote it for you.
